Brake Hubs

Brake Hubs

Golf Car Catalog offers brake hubs for many modern golf cart brands, years and models including Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, and others. Brake hubs are different than brake drums.  The brake hub is the splined or keyed portion of brake assembly which slides onto the rear axles of your golf cart. Usually, the brake hub contains the lug bolts onto which the wheel mounts pressed into its outer face.

A brake drum on the other hand usually has holes in it for the lug bolts to go through.  The brake drum covers the rear brake shoes and provides a surface for them to press against to stop the golf cart. In modern years, there has been little distinction between a brake hub and a brake drum due to the fact that many golf cart manufacturers have now combined both into what is called a hub drum, which serves both functions as explained above.
