On January 1st, 2004 we published our first report on the totally new Golf Car that Club Car has had secretly in development for the past 5 years. We had heard of this new car long before Club Car announced it. Were able to go to one of the golf course test sites, play a round of golf and take extensive pictures of the new Precedent. Columbia ParCar Golf Car Company has taken a bold step forward by intoducing a new line of Electric Vehicles they call the “Summit Line” to meet the growing need of neighborhood transportation.  The Summit is a Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) that can be tagged and legally operated on public roads with a speed limit of 35mph or less. Club Car’s New 4×4

Club Cars New 4 X 4

Club Car calls this vehicle the Carryall 294 4X4. It was introduced at the Golf Course Superintendents Show in February at San Diego. Like the other golf car manufacturers, this is Club Cars first production of a 4X4 vehicle. Club Car has the unique option of offering this vehicle in either a gas or diesel model. Here are major features:

Automatic on-demand four wheel drive system. The system continually senses driving conditions and automatically engages and disengages four-wheel drive without the driving having to stop and shift gears or lock differentials. The fully mechanical (no computers or electronic sensors) system also eliminates steering feedback and reduces tire wear and turf damage. Continue reading
