In past articles we have claimed that the “NEVs are Coming”. The time for the Neighborhood Electric Vehicle is upon us. Our cities are polluted with emissions from internal combustion engines and our streets are jammed with automobiles. One independent research report determined that 59% of passenger vehicles in North America travel less than 15 miles per day and that fully half of the single trips are less than 5 miles in length. All of these trips either are or could be undertaken on roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. Continue reading
