Steering Columns and Shafts
Golf Car Catalog carries a full line of steering columns, steering column shafts, steering column bushings, and steering joints and coupler for use with many EZGO golf cart models, as well as utility vehicles, and personnel carriers. The steering column is the solid column which protrudes from the forward floor of the golf cart and sticks upward to meet the steering wheel. Most modern steering columns are made from cast aluminum or pot metal.
The steering shaft is the portion within the column which is connected to the steering wheel on the top end and the steering box or steering joint on the bottom end. The steering shaft is centered within the steering column by a steering column bushing to help prevent binding.
