Golf Car Catalog offers a wide selection of exhaust gaskets for many golf cart brands including EZGO, Club Car, Yamaha, Columbia, and Harley-Davidson. Exhaust gaskets are important for a variety of reasons. They help to maintain back pressure which is important to many engines, to seal in toxic exhaust fumes, and to prevent the loud engine noise from being heard prior to making it to your muffler.
Exhaust gaskets are sometimes referred to as muffler gaskets as well. Many golf cart models can use as many as 2-3 exhaust gaskets between the engine and the muffler. There is usually an exhaust gasket located between the engine and the exhaust manifold, another on the outer side of the manifold between it and the exhaust stack, and then a third exhaust gasket located where the muffler meets the stack. If your engine has gotten louder or you smell bad gas fumes, you could possibly have a bad exhaust gasket somewhere in those areas.
