Alltrax Speed Controller Function Control Boxes
With the introduction of their new XCT and SR product lines, Alltrax has added a higher level of functionality for the end user with the release of their FN Series of Function Cotnrol Boxes.
The Function Control Boxes allow the vehicle user to easily modify personality features of the system. These personality features include adjustments for speed, regenerative braking, or mode of the vehicle. See specifics below.
Three different Function Control Boxes are available depending on which controller model is used and what type of performance modifications are desired.
- FN-K1: The FN-K1 Function Control Box is only for use with Alltrax SR line of series controllers. The SR has one user input called a personality switch. FN-K1 provides interactive speed+acceleration control for mild street to wild performance. The Alltrax Toolkit software can set the parameters and range to suit your needs. Speed and acceleration can be linked or separated using the Alltrax Toolkit software setup.
- FN-K2: The FN-K2 Function Control Box is only for use with the Alltrax XCT line of shunt wound regen cotnrollers. The XCT has two user inputs called personality switches. FN-K2 provides dual knobs assigned to speed and regen braking. Interactive speed+acceleration or regen allow the amount and range of regen control for mild street to wild performance. The Alltrax Toolkit can set the parameters and range to suit your needs.
- FN-KS: The FN-KS Function Control Box is only for use with the Alltrax XCT line of shunt wound regen controllers. The XCT has two user inputs called personality switches. In this case, a knob and a switch. FN-KS provides three modes or operation: NORM, USER1, and USER2. Each mode can be selected with the 3 position rotary switch. All modes can be setup by the end user in the Alltrax Toolkit software. For example, NORMAL mode can be used to offer an interactive speed+acceleration for mild street use, while the USER1 can be set for high performance with more regen, more speed, and more acceleration, while the USER2 could be used to limit speed, add torque, or create a slower golf course mode.
