8 Inch Wheels
In this section you will find 8 inch wheels in both center-mount and negative-offset style. A center-mounted wheel, as the name suggests, places the mounting plate exactly in the center of the wheel. A negative-offset wheel will place the mounting plate for the wheel closer to the car, causing the tire to move out farther than a center-mounted wheel.
Negative-offset wheels are measured by the inside measurement, then the outside measurement. An example would be a 8"x7" 3+4 wheel, where the wheel measures 8 inches tall, 3 inches behind the mounting plate, and 4 inches outside of the mounting plate, for a total of 7 inches wide.
Most golf carts that ship with 8 inch wheels from the factory use center-mounted tires. Negative-offset wheels are required for taller/wider tires to keep the tires from rubbing on the components on the underside of the car.

Note: Using tires and wheels larger than factory-specification may require the use of a lift kit for clearance, upgraded brakes to compensate for loss of stopping power, and an upgraded electronic speed controller to compensate for loss of torque.
