Rebuilt controllers can be a cost-effective way to get your golf cart up and running quickly. All of our rebuilt controllers are repaired by a certified rebuilder and have a one year warranty against defects.
The controller offered on this page works with TXT Model E-Z-GO Golf Carts with the DCS (Drive Control System) only. The 1206SX series controllers are built by Curtis and are rated at 36 Volts, 275-300 Amps, and E-Z-GO ITS throttle input. Even though E-Z-GO used various extensions on their part numbers, if you have a DCS controller with a part number beginning with 73144, this is the correct one for your car regardless of the following extension, (G01-G06). Some of the earlier ones had 4 large terminals and were rated at 275 amps. Later versions featured only three large terminals and were rated at 300 amps. This controller features 3 large power lugs, 2 small field terminal spades, and a 9 pins in a row, (7 together-2 apart). Regardless of which you have, we will physically rebuild your controller and it will have the same number of terminals as you had previously.
E-Z-GO Part Numbers: 73144-G01, 73144-G03, 73144-G05, 73144-G06
Curtis Part Numbers: 1206SX
Important Note: Due to the lack of cores returned or those returned being completely unrepairable,
WE NO LONGER OFFER REBUILT CONTROLLERS WITHOUT YOUR CORE.
The price you see listed on each product page is the cost of repairing your controller, including core charge. In order to complete this transaction, please complete each of the following steps...
1. Download and print the Controller Rebuild Form by clicking the "Related Documents" link above just below the price.
2. Complete and print out the form. (We also suggest printing a second copy for your records.)
3. Add the rebuilt controller to the shopping basket on the correct product page.
4. Complete check out.
5. Mail the form with your controller core to us. (The address is listed on the Rebuild Form.)
From the time we receive your core and form, we can usually have it back in your hands in about 1 to 1-1/2 weeks.
Determination of whether a core is rebuildable rests solely with our repair company. If your core is not rebuildable (either due to melting, explosion, etc.), we cannot provide you with a repaired controller at any cost. If you have opened the case of your controller, if it is severely melted, or if has been underwater, it is often not repairable. However, somtimes even controllers which look good from the outside may not be rebuildable. If your controller is not rebuildable, your core will be returned to you along with a notification. At that time, we can suggest a new compatible aftermarket Alltrax, Curtis, or GE controller to replace your factory controller.
*Remember: No core - no rebuilt controller*
