This choke cable fits 2-cycle gas E-Z-GO Golf Carts with the '3pg' engines (please see Note 1 below) made from 1989 to 1994. There is a longer choke cable for utility vehicles of this same vintage. Carefully note the housing & cable measurements provided below and make your selection from the option menu..
In 1992 the '3pg' 2-cycle engine was replaced with a twin cylinder 4-cycle gas engine but some 2-cycle engines are found in golf carts, as well as in some utility vehicles, after 1992. This long cable runs to the very rear of the engine where the carburetor is mounted.
Golf Carts: Factory part number: 22431-G1, Housing length: 35", Overall length: 38 1/2"
Utility Trucks: Factory part number: 22431-G2, Housing length: 40", Overall length: 43 3/4".
Note 1: Early 1989 gas golf carts have the older '2pg' gas engine rather than the new '3pg' engine. It is easy to distinquish between the different engines. The '2pg' has a 'stand-up' muffler on the driver side of the engine and the '3pg' engine has a 'lay-down' muffler in front of and just above the engine. This choke cable will not work on the older '2pg' engine. Please refer to the E-Z-GO 76-88 Golf Cart Choke Cable offered in this section if you have the older '2pg' engine.
