GOLF CAR CATALOG EXCLUSIVE ON-BOARD CHARGER CONVERSION KIT

For many years now, we have been building custom electric vehicles in-house. These vehicles have ranged in variety from your basic electric golf carts with only a few simple add-ons to the unparalleled performance of our custom AC installations.  Many of these custom electric vehicles have featured on-board chargers.  However, we have always "one-offed" these custom installations on an as-needed basis.  Now we have developed a complete and EXCLUSIVE on-board charger conversion kit for Medalist and TXT model E-Z-GO golf carts made from 1994 to present, as well as for Shuttle 4, 6, and 2+2 models of the same time period. This kit includes your choice of 36VDC, 48VDC, or 72VDC Delta-Q High Frequency Switch Mode On-Board charger. Most E-Z-GO models will be either 36 volt for golf carts or 48 volt for shuttles, but we also offer a 72 volt for custom applications. This kit will work with stock electrical systems (regen or series) or custom conversion applications like our AC kits. Charger DC output amperage varies with voltage. • 48V = 18 Amps
• 72V = 12 Amps

Benefits of converting to an On-Board Charger from the traditional external battery charger include:

• 90% Lighter to transport - 5 lbs as opposed to 45 lbs of traditional external charger
• No more hassle keeping up with external charger - it's part of the golf cart when installed and travels with you
• High frequency electronic switch mode charger, which is renowned for being quicker in terms of charge time as well as more efficient in the way they charge. You can charge your batteries quicker and it's better for the batteries in the long run. Traditional ferro-resonant chargers tend to overcharge the batteries, while this charger does not.
• Kit is complete with attention to all details: Includes all relevant wiring (except drop cord), dust-resistant marine grade AC three prong receptacle, receptacle mounting plate (in your choice of stainless steel or chrome finish), ground fault strap, all mounting hardware, heat shrink, wire ties, and a 15 page detailed instruction manual. The manual is downloadable directly from our website with the purchase of your charger kit within 30 days of purchase.  It is not downloadable without purchase.
• This is not rocket science, but plan on an hour or two of installation if this is your first install.

However, if you purchase the charger alone, we do not support the installation, above and beyond the simple one page instructions included from Delta-Q.  None of the proprietary kit parts, hardware, wiring, or kit instructions are included in this charger only purchase.  We've spent a lot of time and energy developing this complete kit and if purchased as a unit, you will have everything you need to install.
