Even though many lead acid batteries claim to be maintenance free, they still require minimal routine maintenance; washing, watering and charging. Battery electrolyte (water & acid combination) naturally gases and evaporates from the batteries during charge cycles, as well as during normal use. Hotter climates will cause battery electrolyte levels to evaporate more quickly, so keep a close eye on your level.
A Battery Watering Technologies single point watering system is a quick and easy way to water your batteries. Recently many golf car manufacturers have started installing these single point watering systems on the electric cars they lease to the golf courses. When these cars come off lease and are resold to individual private owners they inherit the system. Unfortunately the parts and pieces (special battery caps, delivery hoses and a unique delivery coupler) that stay with the golf cart batteries are useless without a way to introduce water into the existing system.
From this page, we offer the easiest most economical solution for water delivery to your single point system. If you already have an existing BWT (formerly BFS) single point battery watering system and need a way to get the water in there, this handy squeeze pump is the ticket. To operate, connect the manual pump to the watering system and place the other end in a gallon of distilled water. Squeeze the pump to begin filling. When batteries are filled, the bulb will become firm and prevent additional water from entering the cells.
As with the other delivery items available from BWT, you must first determine what color the connector is on your system. they used to be grey, but now have changed to blue. The two are not compatible. Please select your connector color from the option menu.
Please take the time to view ALL pictures above. We show both the blue and grey connector versions as well as how they mate together in an effort to avoid confusion. It is your responsibility to adequately idenitfy your connector color.
