Original E-Z-GO

This is E-Z-GO's very first golf car.  They started manufacturing them in 1954.  If you have one of these cars, consider yourself very lucky.  There are not many of them around any more!

X-400

We are currently researching this car.  The exact model of the car pictured to the right is unknown.  However, E-Z-GO released about four different models around the time of this car's release.  All of these models were soon replaced by the X-440 and X-444.

X-440

The X-440 and the X-444 were produced around the same time.  The only difference between the two cars was the X-440 had three wheels and the X-444 had four wheels.  If you do not find your serial number from the link provided below, lift your car's seat up and check for a serial number plate on the wheel well.  The serial numbers were located here for a short period.

Spirit

The Spirit was a two seat model with an automotive style hood that covered the front wheels and sported a wrap around windshield and front bumper.   It also had recessed head and tail lights.

Liberty

The Liberty was a four seat model with an automotive style hood that covered the front wheels and sported a wrap around windshield and front bumper and recessed head & tail lights. It was essentially the same as the SPIRIT but had four instead of two seats.

Freedom

The Freedom model was introduced in 1988 and it had factory installed head, tail & brake lights and an electric horn. The Freedom had a standard golf car body but it had a special black front nose cap that held the recessed headlights.  The Freedom is essentially the same car as the Fleet model.  The main difference between the two is the electrical accessories and wiring harness.

Medalist

The Medalist was the first departure from the old look and frame. It switched to a robot welded frame and a new rounded body style. The metal body was offered in many different colors. A new headlight bar that fit under the front cowl was standard equipment on the Medalist cars.

TXT

In 1996 E-Z-GO changed the body material to a composite thermoplastic finished with a paint and clearcoat. The drive train and frame remained the same, only the body material and some trim changed. The TXT body will retrofit onto the Medalist frame.

Clays Car

The Clays Car was introduced by E-Z-GO to accommodate the sport shooting market.  This car usually comes with a rear seat flip flop kit and a basket located on the front cowl.

800 - 1200 WorkHorse

The 800 and 1200 E-Z-GO WorkHorse are utility golf cars.  The most distinguishing characteristics of these cars is the work bed found on the back of the car.  Both cars feature heavy duty leaf springs to help carry the load.  The 800 has a smaller engine/motor than the 1200.  The '800' means that the car has a max payload of 800 pounds and the '1200' means the car has a max payload of 1200 pounds.

ST350 - ST480 WorkHorse

The ST350 and ST480 WorkHorses are heavy duty utility vehicles.  The ST350 has a 350cc engine and the ST480 has a 480cc engine.  Both have heavy duty leaf springs and lift kits.  These vehicles also have large tires and have larger workbeds than the 800 -1200 WorkHorses.

ST 4x4

The ST 4x4 was introduced by E-Z-GO in 2004.  This the first 4x4 released under the E-Z-GO name.  It features a 614cc Honda twin cylinder 4 stroke gas engine and two switches to lock the front and/or rear differential.

Shuttle - 4 Passenger

The 4 Passenger Shuttle is available in both a gas and electric version.  The most distinguishing feature of this car is the rear seat facing forward.  There is also a 2+2 Shuttle available but the rear seats face backward and the frame is not extended.

Shuttle - 6 Passenger

The 6 Passenger Shuttle is available in a gas version.  This car has two rows of seats facing forward and one row of seats facing backward.

Refresher and Oasis Beverage Cars

E-Z-GO has manufactured a couple of beverage units over the years.  They often feature hot and cold storage.  The full beverage versions such as the Refresher and Oasis have drink dispensers, storage closets and ice containers.  E-Z-GO also produces coolers that can fit on the back of a WorkHorse or workbed.
