E-Z-GO Year and Model Look Up

NOTE 1: Our Year and Model Look Up Form is for E-Z-GO golf cars made from 1976 to Present.  You must have your Manufacturers Code (Code) & Serial Number (SN), which can be found on an ID plate riveted either under or inside the passenger side glove compartment. The Code has appeared differently over the years.  Before 1983 it was 6 numbers all in a row immediately followed by the serial number, also 6 numbers all in a row.  In 1983 & after the Code became alphanumeric; a letter designated the month the car was made and 3 or 4 numbers indicate the actual date of the month and the year.  Unfortunately, there is no way to determine the model of the car from the Code, only the date the car was actually made.  If you want to know more about what specific model E-Z-GO you have, please give us a call at 1-800-328-1953.

NOTE 2:  Before 1983 the Code may appear to have only 5 numbers.   Look carefully at the black paint just to the left of the first number.  E-Z-GO frequently stamped that first number into the paint by accident and it is easy to miss it.  There are no letter, only numbers (example: 771234 - 123456 or 821111 - 1325476).  In 1983 and later the code appears differently in different years but each set of numbers is clearly labeled. 

 NOTE 3:  In 2003 E-Z-GO stopped putting an ID plate inside the passenger side glove box.  Thereafter the SN and Code can be found on a small white label attached to the frame just under the black plastic access panel, immediately behind the middle of the bench seat.  In 2004 the SN was stamped into the frame in this same location but the little white label still had the Code & the SN.  A SN label can also be found below the charge receptacle on electric cars or below the choke cable trim plate on gas models.  If the rear body has been changed for some reason that label may not be there.
