All modern E-Z-GO cars have a serial number and manufacturer's code in or under the passenger side dashboard storage compartment. The manufacturer's code is used to determine the year the car was made, not the serial number.
The specific order of the numbers changed over the years, but the manufacturer's code always has a letter and the last two digits of the year it was made incorporated in the code. The serial number is either 6 or 7 digits, but it does not indicate the model year. Prior to 1976, the serial number plate was under the driver's side seat, just behind the battery closest to the driver, or on the fender skirt. Determining the year the car was made on these earlier cars is fairly complicated. If you call us or send an e-mail, we'll try to help you determine the year your car was made. If you know your serial number and would like to find out the year and model of your car, visit the E-Z-GO Year and Model Lookup Page.
